“Being the “best you can be” is really only possible when you are deeply connected to another.”

― Sue Johnson

couples counseling

Couples come to counseling for many reasons. Maybe the turns of time and life have slowly created a quiet distance between you and your partner. The desire to fix it is there, but you need some direction. Or maybe the disconnection is not so quiet. The fighting is getting more intense and frequent. Sometimes there is nothing being said at all—just cold and painful silence. And for some, there are painful wounds from betrayal, infidelity, or addiction that need healing.

Regardless of your reason, we believe that underneath all the hurt and distance are two people who yearn for closeness, connection, and joy in their most important relationship. And it is this vision of relationships that allows us to work hard to help you believe it, too.

At Live Well, Josh Downs specializes in treating couples. His ability to do this is rooted in a very effective model of couples treatment called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). To learn more, click here.

Through EFT, you can achieve greater happiness and closeness in your relationship.
