Our relationships can be the source of our greatest satisfaction and joy, as well as the source of our greatest hurt.

  • Do you feel growing distance and disconnection in your relationship?

  • Do you feel like the deep love you once felt with your partner has grown dim, and has been replaced with resentment, conflict, anger, and hurt?

  • Do you ever feel like you’re having the same argument over and over, but neither of you are truly being understood?

  • Does it feel like your partner has become your roommate, or worse, your enemy?

This disconnection is painful. Call us to see how EFT can help you in your most important relationship.

it May be hard to see, But there’s hope!

EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) is a proven approach to treatment for couples, and the results stick! The process of EFT will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of the negative patterns that keep you stuck, allowing a sense of security and renewed love to emerge between you and your partner.

Wherever your relationship is now, EFT can help:

If your relationship feels like it’s slipping, and you’re wondering where the spark went, EFT can provide a “tune up,” putting you and your partner on a more connected path moving forward.

If things feel a little more broken, and you are tired of the arguing, distance, and disconnection, EFT can help you begin to see each other more clearly, and move to a place of deeper understanding and connection.

You feel “done,” and are exhausted by the traumas and never-ending hurt: betrayal, infidelity, and constant disappointment. EFT can help repair those wounds, and gently lead you to restoring trust and love, once again.

EFT can help restore hope as you step onto the path that leads to lasting connection with your partner.

What can I expect with EFT?

Your EFT process will happen in three stages. Sometimes you move to one stage, then move back to another. EFT is meant to be tailored to your unique needs, while holding to a proven model.

In brief:

  • Stage 1: In Stage 1, the objective will be first to begin noticing your yearnings for closeness, and the negative patterns or cycle that keeps that out of reach. In session, you will have the experience of responding and reaching in new ways, which will yield a different result, creating connection, rather than the distance that comes from spinning in this cycle.

  • Stage 2: The second stage is the good stuff. In Stage 2 of EFT, the focus is on healing and growing this fledgling bond between you and your partner. You will begin to see one another more clearly, and to honor and empathize with the more vulnerable feelings that emerge from this stage. As you begin to see your partner in a new way, the dynamics of your relationship will change, and you will feel more secure and connected than you ever thought possible.

  • Stage 3: With a new sense of security and connection, Stage 3 takes you back to the old issues that felt unsolvable: money, sex, where to spend holidays, who is responsible for the laundry. Whatever the issues were, your new intimacy will allow you to solve them in a way that feels good, and no longer drives you apart.
